Beyond Bullies Online Guidelines
IF THIS IS AN EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY (emergency contacts)
You must be at least 13-years-old and under 18-years-old to post messages in discussion board or IM teen leaders on the Beyond Bullies Online Teen Support program
- Do not exchange telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, high school names or
details about where you live
- Do not use the first name, city or any identifying information about Bullies or
Cyberbullies
- Any inappropriate posts or Web sites not associated with the site will be removed
- No one can arrange an in-person meeting
- Anyone not following these guidelines will receive a warning or suspended from
the Web site.
- Under no circumstances will profanity be accepted
E-mail Restrictions
- Send email to teenleader@beyondbullies.org to contact an online teen leader if
you are unable to reach someone online.
- Add teenleader@beyondbullies.org to e-mail provider's approved contact list
- Be sure to send e-mails from the e-mail address you registered with
- You will not be allowed to register twice and post under another identity
Forums and Discussion Boards
- The forums are not intended to be used to discuss issues such as like cutting,
suicide, eating disorders or drug/alcohol abuse.
- If you are not a trained Beyond Bullies teen leader, do not refer to yourself as one
or take the role as a teen leader in forums.
- As a registered user, you can share your own story, welcome new users to the
forums or suggest how they can contact a Beyond Bullies teen leader online.
Copy and Pasting Posts by other Members
- You cannot copy and paste posts or Blogs from other sites by other members due
to copyright infringement laws
- Conversations from private messages or emails from other sites or from Beyond
Bullies should not be posted or reposted
IM with Mentor or Posting on Forums
- If you are using the forums for more than few hours a day or using your
relationship with a mentor as a way to avoid making friends, we may contact you
to suggest other support.

Confidentiality Agreement
Beyond Bullies is committed to making this Web site a safe and enjoyable place for you. We understand how painful bullying and cyber bullying is and want to offer you an online community with discussion boards, private chat and ways to communicate with teens who are bullied and cyber bullied.
You are not alone. Teen Leaders will not judge you. Whether you are being teased, having rumors spread about you or if someone is using a social networking site to destroy your reputation, a teen leader is online to help you feel less alienated and scared.
The pain, suffering and loneliness can be overwhelming. They can help with basic bullying issues, but if you abused by an adult or minor, seriously depressed or suicidal, mentors will contact the Beyond Bullies program director.
Teen Leaders train not to discuss personal conversations with anyone except the program director. However, Beyond Bullies cannot guarantee the confidentiality of any information disclosed to teen leaders or registered users. Beyond Bullies has strict guidelines against any personal identifiers, including real names, phone numbers and names of bullies, used on the Web site, and accepts no responsibility for the misuse or distribution of any personal information that users voluntarily disclose on the site.
The Beyond Bullies program staff may review any content whether publicly or privately, at any time. In some instances, we may share this information with your parents, school, local authority or the police, if we think you are in danger. We will try to tell you, if we need to contact an adult.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Due to limited resources and the volunteer nature of the Beyond Bullies Online Teen
Support program, Beyond Bullies cannot guarantee that online teen leaders and targets
of bullying will actively be using the website. Additionally, by using this site, the user
expressly waives any and all claims against Beyond Bullies, Inc. Beyond Bullies does not
warrant that such services will be appropriate, error-free, or free from computer viruses
or other harmful materials. Beyond Bullies and its associates or its staff will not be
liable to any body for any damages whatsoever that may result from the use or misuse of
services provided by Beyond Bullies, including any indirect, consequential, exemplary,
incidental, special or punitive damages, lost profits or lost data. Beyond Bullies disclaims
all warranties, whether express or implied permitted by law.
DISCLAIMERSTeen Leaders do not take the place of parents. They are a positive force and are online to
offer support and resources
If teen leaders believe you are harming yourself, others or experiencing suicidal thoughts,
they will contact the executive director at Beyond Bullies who will speak to a supportive
adult, teacher or law enforcement officer.
