Hi my name is Aubree, and my story might be as good as others. But it’s something.
It all started in 4th grade. I just made a new best friend (lets call her Liz) and things were happy.
One day a new girl came into my class( lets call her Kate) and she seemed really friendly. Me and Liz were nice and showed her around and how to get our bus. We seemed friends. But slowly the insults started hitting us but we weren’t sure if she was being mean or if it was a joke. So, we took it as a joke. WRONG!!! The insults pilled up until me and my friends (Liz wasn’t there) was in the field. She took a friends lunch box, then I ran after her talking back the lunch box and gave it to him. Boy, was Kate mad. “Boys we need to have a little girl chat”she told my friends. “Can’t you take a joke. Your no fun. You should go die in a hole. Your a real b**** aren’t you. No wonder your crush hates you. I bet you make blind kids cry ’cause your so d**** ugly, you f***.” I tried to fight back, but her words were so powerful it was like she had done this a million times. Finally I left and did nothing but cry.My friends came over when one noticed me alone. I told them what happen. When I was done, the brought me over and gave Kate a beat down. ( With words, standing up for me) I told my teacher when we got back inside. She punished Kate but she just threatened me that her dad was going to find me and beat me up. I knew I was in trouble, because every one saw her dad threaten the bus driver. This happened until 6th grade. ( I also saw the insults were starting to involve Liz). We reported Kate, but that only gave her the idea to report kids a lot who didn’t do any thing. We can;t tell the the teachers though because they love Kate. I hope this gets better soon. I’m in 8th grade now, and scene Liz and I don’t have any classes with her I lives have felt so much but that doesn’t mean she still isn’t out there. We always have to watch our backs. And the more people that come to our school, the more people she can hurt. The real point is, don’t go around bullying people, and sticking up doesn’t hurt either.Trust me, remembering that day in the field helps me understand what real friendship is. I hope no one else goes through Kate’s rage. But if they do I always have an open shoulder for someone to cry on.
