When I was in sixth grade, I got bullied by different people every single day. I remember 3 girls that ride my school bus were bullying me, because it’s my first year in middle school and first year here in the U.S. They were saying like “OMG, look at her, she’s so ugly!” Sometimes, they sit behind my seat and punch the back of my seat, kick my feet and pull my hair and no one in my bus likes me because I’m Asian. And nobody wants to sit with me. So, I feel like I’m nobody. And then I met this girl Alma, she’s Hispanic, and she seems so nice to me. Then, in sixth grade, something changed over the spring. The bullying stopped, so I feel so great. But when I get to seventh grade, Alma changed. She’s making fun of me and saying stuff to me in Spanish like China cochina, which means disgusting Chinese. The kids in my school started calling me that even though I’m not Chinese. And the sixth graders on my bus are bullying me by speaking Chinese in my ear, staring at me and laughing. One time, when I get on the school bus, one boy looked at me and said “Freak!” and the other boys heard it and said weird things like Chinese accent, sushi and singing a Spanish song they made about Chinese people. So, I cut myself, cry every night and even think about committing suicide. Sadly, I feel like I became a racist, because I started to hate Mexicans, because the Mexican kids are the ones who are bullying me and being racist in my school, but I realized I should not think like that because my most of my bests friends are Mexicans. So….I hope that someone can help me to stop crying every night and cutting myself.
