When I was born I had a problem that I still have. I have and in-toeing gait, due to excessive femoral anteversation. I have only recently found out I had this disability 2 years ago, but it has affected me a lot. Most people in my school have noticed my walking get progressively worse, which has caused people to stare and point and laugh as well as take the mick out of how I walk ,even when I’m walking down the street people stare look up and down at me like I’m not normal or even human. People in school always say nice walking skills or you are a spaz and a retarded. Some people are nice and have respect, but most are rude. I am happy to be having the chance to have an operation, but it is a stressful time, because it’s rare to need an operation for this physical problem. It’s affected me every day and it’s still getting worse. If you have the same problem, then don’t allow yourself to be put down by others, just think that you are unique. You are special. You are human and normal in your own ways. No one is perfect.
